Connectors for power cables from HMS Elektronik are particularly suitable for the assembly of your HiFi power cables with a maximum outer diameter of approx. 10 mm. HMS mains plugs are characterised by the special design of their plug contacts. Hans Martin Strassner uses soft copper for the gold-plated plugs underneath the gold-plated surface. This construction promises a larger contact surface, as the soft copper plating "yields" when plugged into the socket and clings better to the contacts of the socket. These can only be seen under the scanning microscope, but this characteristic of the HMS connectors minimizes the sound deteriorating potential vortex at the transitions between the two contact surfaces, which in turn leads to an improvement of the sound image.
