The future is digital: fast, sharp, flexible. Extremely high data rates (9 gigabytes) must be transmitted cleanly. When a digital transmitter meets a digital receiver, the right cable is essential. Previous digital devices are equipped with connectors for DVI cables. The standard of the future, however, will be the HDMI cable (High Definition Multimedia Interface), because even with longer cables it will still reliably transmit up to 1080 lines - and also up to eight sound channels. Everything else is from yesterday.
