AHP 3 Ultra ucc precision fuse | 6.3 x 32 mm, 250V | The audiophile fuse for hi-fi components


Following many successful years, Mr Jungblut of AHP is updating his entire range of audiophile precision fuses. This means that from August 2026, the revised 6.3 x 32 mm precision fuse in version 3 for audio/video components will be launched on the market.

The AHP Precision Fuse 3 Ultra ucc is the new top-of-the-range model in AHP’s range of cylindrical 6.3 x 32 mm audio fuses for hi-fi equipment.

Compared to the standard AHP precision fuse 3, the Ultra ucc precision fuses utilise a new type of surface coating from AHP, which further increases the usable contact area. This ensures maximum current flow and reduces sound-detrimental eddy currents at the contact points to a minimum.

UCC stands for Ultra Coating + Conditioning. The process is a combination of information processing, a thermal treatment (Cryo), optimised surface smoothing and a nanotechnology sealant.

According to Mr Jungblut, this new AHP technology delivers a clearly audible improvement in dynamic range and speed in music reproduction compared to the ‘standard’ cylindrical 6.3 x 32 mm audio fuse.

The AHP Fine Fuse 3 Ultra ucc thus offers hi-fi components a further optimised current flow for even better sound quality.

Important note regarding audiophile precision fuses:
In rare cases, particularly when used in equipment (e.g. amplifiers) with high inrush currents (Naim, Accuphase), audiophile micro-fuses may trip and blow on their very first use.

Why is this the case?
Audiophile precision fuses (regardless of the manufacturer) have a very narrow tolerance before they trip (blow) in order to protect your equipment. The manufacturer Padis has demonstrated through testing that standard fuses fitted as standard in equipment can have a tolerance of up to 100 per cent compared to the amperage rating stated on the fuse.

You should therefore consult the manufacturer or distributor of your equipment before replacing any fuses and enquire about the recommended fuse ratings!

All AHP precision fuses are 100% tested and in working order. The replacement of fuses is carried out by the customer at their own risk. No claims will be accepted.
