Rega's proven top-class RP3 turntable is reinvented and grows beyond itself in the Planar 3 version in 2016. Completely redesigned, with so many improvements that you could almost call it an RP4.
The Planar 3 already has the new RB 330 tonearm - with a new bearing housing, improved anti-skating function and low-capacity internal wiring.
Additional resonance-reducing measures have been taken everywhere - not much, but in exactly the right places. The frame itself and the struts have been efficiently reinforced, the brass housing for the bearing has been worked even more precisely and the new feet of the Planar 3 have also been optimised for perfect energy dissipation.

• New RB 330 tonearm with improved anti-skating adjustment, newly developed tonearm cable (lowest capacitance) and Neutrik connectors.

• new sub platter with increased precision and stiffness
• 12 mm thick float glass platter with polished edge and reduced tolerances
• New chassis finish with high gloss acrylic. The acrylic gives the wooden frame more support and also looks great
