When Nordost introduced its revolutionary Flatline speaker cables 20 years ago, they took the hi-fi world by storm. The proprietary design, featuring extruded FEP, was characterised by a combination of minimal capacitance, minimal inductance and minimal dielectric effects. Together with the high quality of the materials used, this resulted in lightning-fast, extremely low-loss reproduction that brought music to life.

Today, 20 years on, the launch of the Leif series transforms this revolution into an evolution. The Purple Flare speaker cable combines the original, pioneering flat-ribbon construction with silver-plated, oxygen-free solid-core copper conductors: this technology is derived directly from the flagship Odin and Valhalla cables. The precision-engineered construction is mechanically stable and ensures absolutely uniform spacing between the 1.45 mm² conductors, as well as consistent electrical characteristics. These fourteen conductors are arranged in two strands to drive speakers in single-wiring mode with minimal resistance and achieve superior sound quality. If you have speakers with bi-wiring terminals, replace the original connectors with bridges from the Leif series for the best results.

Purple Flare speaker cables are manufactured in the USA and hand-terminated using silver solder with high-quality, exceptionally lightweight banana plugs or spade terminals to ensure consistent quality.
