Ordering information: To order a rack with 3 shelves (as pictured), you will need one base shelf and two additional shelves. You can select these under ‘Please select variation:’ and add the individual shelves with your chosen heights to your basket.

The Bassocontinuo Reference range is now in its second generation and continues to evolve: in terms of performance, stability and load-bearing capacity, as well as in terms of its appearance. We have grown alongside this range and have put a great deal of effort into its further development to achieve a significant result: to this day, it remains one of the most frequently copied products.

A new, emotive approach to the product. Six combinations of materials and textures, inspired by vintage style, shipping and the automotive industry.

The Bassocontinuo Accordeon XL4 2.1 hi-fi rack has a footprint that is 6 cm wider and 6 cm deeper than the ‘standard’ Accordeon rack, making it ideal for large hi-fi equipment.

This audio cabinet, crafted to an extremely high standard, has a modular design and can be expanded at any time with additional shelves. The rack’s columns are made of stainless steel. The individual shelves are fitted with adjustable spikes.

The Italian manufacturer Bassocontinuo offers a 5-year warranty on its racks.

Model descriptions:

NIGHTHAWK
The new “total black”. A little shiny, a little opaque. Structure made of HDF painted black embossed scratch- resistant and a central panel made of black painted glass for a perfect sheen with a mirror effect. Details in shiny black steel complete the design.

MOONSTONE
The white twin. Glossy mirror glass contrasts with white milky shelf and shiny white steel details. Mimimalism and neatness are at the forefront.

PORTOFINO
Inspired by the world of boats and the sweet life. HDF structure painted embossed black frames a grey oak panel. Details in silver-painted steel accentuate the character. Elegant, retro and at the same time very fashionable.

STEALTH
Aggressive, provocative and luxurious at the same time. Imagine an opaque anthracite trimaran hull, 395 feet long, teak main deck and glossy black details everywhere – worthy of the best James Bond!

CALIFORNIA
The Far West and the ghost towns: wood painted polyester contrasts with rust for a sense of abandonment and unkempt. We are special: have you ever seen real rust on a wooden panel? Latest generation iron-based varnishes, etched and stabilized for a simply incredible effect.

MERCURIAL
The racing world couldn’t miss out: the embossed black HDF shelf surrounds an opaque carbon fibre panel and an opaque black painted steel detail. The racing is expressed in the furniture.

Whilst retaining the simplicity and clarity that have always set it apart, the Reference Line is now presented on the market as a range of uncompromising products.

Each shelf is fitted with an NFC tag containing the product’s serial number. Hold your (NFC-compatible) mobile phone up to it and download the serial number. Do you have any doubts about the product’s origin? Contact us, and we’ll tell you the story behind every single shelf.
As well as increasing the thickness of the shelves to 30 mm, we have tested the shelving units and fitted dampers to their undersides to improve energy dissipation (particularly the energy generated by the motors of turntables and CD players).

The features of the new version 2.1
A demonstrable improvement in performance

All products in the Reference Line offer enhanced performance thanks to the new tie-rod system: the static and dynamic tests carried out by Vicoter in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano demonstrate the remarkable robustness of the shelving units.
In the new version, we have also added a little extra feature that we know our customers will particularly appreciate: a spirit level above the lower shelf to help you check that it is level.
