The flagship of the series, the AE120², is the largest model in the AE 100 series and a true 3-way design. This speaker delivers big sound from a slim cabinet that blends into a variety of living environments thanks to its tasteful design. Two bass drivers support the room-filling performance with a dedicated midrange driver housed in its own enclosure, carefully designed to mitigate the harmful effects of rear wave reflections.

Acoustic Energy's 25 mm soft dome tweeter is integrated into the perfectly tuned Wide Dispersion Technology (WDT) waveguide and manages the high frequencies with controlled dispersion, high sensitivity and low distortion.
The 3-way crossover is impedance-compensated to avoid resonance problems that would otherwise slow down bass response and distort midrange performance.

Special attention has also been paid to phase and time alignment to achieve optimal integration and soundstage. The result is a loudspeaker that delivers smooth, wide-dispersion high frequencies with a clean midrange and lightning-fast bass. The high-quality cabinet is made of 15 mm thick HDF and, like its "little brother" AE109², is weighted to dampen cabinet vibrations. The internal bracing system has been carefully tuned to reduce cabinet resonance and colouration in the midrange, while the new AE120² benefits from a discreetly designed satin black plinth that increases stability and further improves dynamics and stereo focus.
