T+A Audio Quad Carbon XLR Cable - high-end audio cable for best stereo sound
For an XLR connection between two devices, you need cables with two signal conductors that transmit the useful signal in phase opposition and at least one separate ground conductor. This makes it possible to eliminate interference by differentiating the useful signals and also to use very long cables, for example when using active speakers or if you want to place the power amplifiers directly next to the speakers. The Audio Quad even has additional ground and control conductors.
Technology of T+A Audio Quad Carbon XLR cables
The completely newly developed, very sophisticated T+A Audio Quad XLR cable has been specially designed for top-quality balanced connection variants in the professional sector. It has two stranded inner conductors as a twisted pair made of oxygen-free ultra-pure copper, with a foamed PE insulator and a dense shielding braid of OFC copper on top. This is covered by a PE insulator to adjust the characteristic impedance. Two ground/control conductors made of OFC and foamed PE insulation fit closely together and are first covered by a foil shield and then by a dense OFC braid. Due to the triple shielding, a very high attenuation level is achieved. A dense braid of damping PE monofilaments is pressed firmly to the inner construction by the antistatic outer sheath. The result of this highly sophisticated development is not only outstanding data and interference-free transmission, but in particular unique sound characteristics.
Equipment features of the XLR cable:
- Impedance of the XLR cable: 110 Ohm
- capacity: 38 pF
