Metallized polypropylene film of the latest generation is used to manufacture the TubeCap. This is particularly thin and the self-healing properties are particularly pronounced thanks to a special coating. The TubeCap combines high dielectric strength and low residual inductance with a very compact design. It was developed as a technically superior alternative to high-voltage electrolytic capacitors and is therefore ideally suited for use in tube amplifiers.

The advantages over electrolytic capacitors are:
