Both are decisive prerequisites for a precise low bass. The achievable ratio of inductance to internal resistance cannot be achieved with pure air-core coils at all, or only at considerably higher cost.

Due to their high quality, vacuum impregnation is recommended without restriction for transformer core coils as a further measure to audibly increase the quality.
