Cardas Clear Cygnus phono cable

The CLEAR Cygnus takes over from the CLEAR Light. This is no easy task, as the Light was the most successful cable in the CLEAR series in the USA. The construction of the CLEAR Cygnus with four inner conductors is somewhat less complex than that of the large CLEAR, but at the same time many of its sonic characteristics are already present. The CLEAR Cygnus Phono plays very naturally and pleasantly detailed without sounding bright, and offers a spacious presentation with increased holographic presence compared to the CLEAR Light.

The Cygnus CLEAR Cygnus uses a quad-axial design, with four inner conductors held in place by PFA tubing. The inner conductors in turn consist of multi-layered, lacquered individual strands wound in opposite directions around a Kevlar yarn. These strands are arranged in their size ratio to each other and to the insulators surrounding them - as is customary at Cardas - in the golden section. The CLEAR Cygnus is double shielded and yet very flexible. This is especially true for the connection wires to the plugs, which are led out of the cable harness. The phono version consists of a single strand of the CLEAR Cygnus interconnect with modified termination.
