The conductor of the Excellence Optocable consists of a special polymer fiber (PMMA) and is assembled with high-quality, solid TOS-Link connectors. A complex assembly process reduces light refractions in the fiber and thus also jitter effects to a minimum. This enables a natural, dynamic and homogeneous sound even with high-resolution audio formats.

Low Jitter
The end faces of the light guides must be precisely ground or polished in order to transmit the light with as little reflection as possible. In addition, the light guide's comparatively large diameter of one millimeter in the TOS-Link standard ensures that the individual light beams are subject to pronounced reflections and phase shifts. This leads to a kind of jitter, which makes it difficult for the receiver to detect one and zero. The higher the quality of the light guide, the lower the light reflections and the more accurate the transmission.
